Switzerland once again proves its global leadership in responsible enterprise, ranking third in the Elite Quality Index 2025 by the University of St. Gallen. The report credits Switzerland’s transparent, accountable, and decentralized institutions for fostering business models that generate sustainable value for society, a timely reminder that excellence is more than output; it’s also about impact.

Back in the Philippines, that same philosophy of purposeful leadership echoed across SwissCham’s programs this month. The Chamber’s strategic planning session hosted by Base Bahay Foundation highlighted bamboo-based innovations in housing and reaffirmed SwissCham’s commitment to sustainability. This priority was echoed in the Chamber’s multi-sector dialogue on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), co-organized with European business councils. The forum emphasized policy alignment, green jobs, and the urgent need for systemic reform to address plastic waste and advance circular economy goals.

The executive insight continues this theme of future-readiness. Through a deep-dive forum on AI ethics and regulation, SwissCham convened leaders from DICT, DTI, and private sector partners to explore how the Philippines can balance innovation with human-centered values. Topics ranged from digital skilling to accountability-by-design—a crucial dialogue as businesses scale up tech adoption.

Among our member features, Novateur’s Nespresso brand received regional recognition, and SGS Academy launched its membership program to build future-ready professionals. Entrepreneur Dina Stalder’s inspiring story, from domestic helper to skincare mogul, stood out as a powerful example of resilience and inclusive success.

Whether in manufacturing, healthcare, or digital policy, this issue shows how the Chamber and its members are helping shape a sustainable, forward-looking business ecosystem.
