Switzerland is once again the world’s most competitive economy, topping the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2025. Known for its strong institutions, robust infrastructure, and adaptable governance, Switzerland reinforces the value of long-term stability in a rapidly changing global environment. It’s a clear reminder that enduring competitiveness comes not just from innovation, but from trust, reliability, and resilience.

That same commitment to long-term value is reflected in SwissCham Philippines’ work on the ground. In a strategic dialogue with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Chamber focused on supply chain reform, SME support, and industry competitiveness, demonstrating how public-private cooperation can drive impactful, systems-level improvements in the Philippine business landscape.

Sustainability continues to be a core theme. Holcim Philippines launched the Circular Explorer in Manila Bay, a fully solar-powered catamaran designed to clean marine plastic waste and support ocean research and community education. It’s a bold move that pairs environmental action with scientific collaboration.

Meanwhile, ABB earned a spot in TIME’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies 2025, ranking 14th globally and 3rd in Switzerland, underscoring its leadership in ESG performance and climate accountability.

Also featured this month: ILC Law’s expanding Swiss network, including legal support for FIFA and Filipino-Swiss athletes, and Fracht Group’s 70th anniversary, celebrating a legacy of family-owned excellence in global logistics anchored in Swiss values.
