In this issue, SwissCham Philippines announces a significant upgrade in its operations with the transition to Glue Up, a comprehensive platform designed to streamline member services and enhance engagement. This transition is an important step forward, allowing SwissCham to offer a more seamless and efficient experience for its members, from event management to networking opportunities. The new system is expected to improve communication, simplify administrative processes, and provide members with easy access to a wide range of resources, making it a cornerstone of SwissCham’s commitment to delivering exceptional value.

Our innovation clusters are on the move with the recent brainstorming session of the members of the Manufacturing Innovation Cluster to map out our strategic initiatives and engagement for the manufacturing sector. Huge thanks to Dani San Agustin (Ivoclar) for her leadership on this cluster.

Our Digital Health and Life Sciences Innovation Cluster met with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) to advance processes in enhancing healthcare accessibility. We are grateful to Janette Jakosalem (Zuellig Pharma) for her leadership and the dynamic members of this cluster.

Our member-companies are shaping their industries with Holcim’s contributions to the Philippines’ progress beyond its core cement business and initiatives in circular economy; SGS’s acquisition of IEC solidifies its leadership in the cosmetics industry; Nencki’s successful commissioning of the first Damper Tester at MRT-3; VGD Law’s efforts in fostering European-Asian business collaborations; and initiatives toward impactful breast cancer journalism by Novartis through its partnership with the Philippine Press Institute, and ICanServe.
