Business E-Journal: July 2025

The July 2025 edition of the SwissCham Business E-Journal brings together stories of innovation, resilience, and collaboration that define Swiss and Philippine partnerships today.
Switzerland once again emerged as Europe’s most innovative country, topping the European Innovation Scoreboard for the eighth consecutive year. With performance 25% above the EU average, the country continues to lead in venture capital, digital skills, and global research partnerships, affirming its reputation as a hub of creativity and excellence.
At the Chamber level, SwissCham and the Embassy of Switzerland convened government and private stakeholders with Roche Philippines to advance breast cancer care. Discussions highlighted PhilHealth’s expanded PHP 1.4 million coverage, alongside calls for early detection, patient navigation, and stronger access to medicines. This initiative reflects the Chamber’s role in fostering dialogue that bridges global strategies with local healthcare needs.
Swiss companies also deepened their engagement. Logitech’s courtesy visit showcased interest in expanding technology solutions in the Philippines, while Ivoclar launched a free mobile dental program in Palawan, bringing oral health services to underserved schools and communities.
Our members continued to demonstrate leadership: SGV & Co. was recognized for its commitment to gender equality in the workplace, while VGD Law celebrated 35 years of legal excellence, unveiling new cross-border practices to serve European and ASEAN clients. In hospitality, Solaire Resort North earned a five-star accreditation from the Department of Tourism, reinforcing Quezon City’s position as a luxury destination.
Together, these stories reflect SwissCham’s commitment to advancing innovation, inclusivity, and stronger economic ties between Switzerland and the Philippines.
