This achievement is a testament to the country's commitment to sustainable growth and innovation. The year 2024 is especially noteworthy with Viola Amherd from the canton of Valais serving as the President of the Swiss Confederation, following her election on December 13, 2023. Her presidency underscores Switzerland's dedication to progressive and environment-friendly governance.

SwissCham Philippines has taken a lead in promoting sustainability, focusing on zero waste management and the circular economy. This initiative is part of a broader effort to champion environmental stewardship. We are also happy to welcome Mister Loo AG as they expand their presence in the Philippines providing high-tech yet affordable toilet facilities in public areas of the country.

The partnership between Ferring and PharmaBiome in microbiome research and development, complemented by an exclusive licensing agreement, highlights Switzerland's prowess in biotech innovation. Moreover, the 2023 Chairperson’s Report at the General Membership Meeting reflected on SwissCham's transformative role in promoting sustainable business practices, further evidenced by SGS's decade of leading the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.

Finally, the enhancement of a public consumer web portal through performance testing and ABB’s introduction of smart robotic solutions to aid Volvo Cars in achieving sustainability targets exemplify Swiss expertise in technology and environmental responsibility. These developments reinforce Switzerland's position as a leader in sustainable innovation and business excellence.
