In an era where division often seems to be the norm, the power of collaborative action shines as a beacon of hope. This has been particularly evident in the concerted multi-sectoral efforts to combat breast cancer in the Philippines with the five (5) roundtable series we recently organized in partnership with ICanServe Foundation, Philippine Cancer Society, and Novartis Healthcare Philippines.

A landmark partnership has been forged between Roche and Healthway Medical Network of Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. This collaboration aims to revolutionize cancer care, offering hope and improved treatment options for patients.

As we continuously champion for sustainability, we held a workshop capacitating our small and medium size member-firms and support them in developing their own sustainability reports through our enabling partnership with the Global Reporting Initiative.

Nestlé PH has become the first large-scale user of 100% renewable electricity in Mindanao. This move sets a precedent for other businesses, emphasizing the importance of renewable energy in combating climate change.

We are also happy to welcome three (3) new members this month that already pledged commitment and support to sustainable business practices. Amihan Solutions, Endress + Hauser, and Geobrugg Philippines have seen positive prospects for the country and the Chamber shall continue to engage with them for possible collaborative projects.

We are always excited to share news from our member-companies. Lufthansa City Center's expansion into the Philippines marks another significant milestone. This move not only boosts the travel and tourism sector but also reinforces the Philippines' position as a key player in the global market. VGD Law has introduced its German Desk as recognition of more German speaking nationals in the country. This initiative aims to bridge the gap and provide tailored services to meet the unique needs of German-speaking enterprises. And finally, Basel SMH Marketing Inc, Nencki AG, and RepRisk continue to drive progress, excellence, and innovation in their respective industries.

These developments in the Philippines, both in the health and business sectors, underscore the power of collaboration. Whether it's fighting a health crisis or fostering sustainable growth, when we come together, we can achieve remarkable feats.
