Key Highlights from SwissCham Philippines’ 2024 Annual General Membership Meeting

In her Chairperson’s report, Christine Fajardo emphasized SwissCham’s ongoing growth and commitment to supporting its members as a trusted partner. She outlined the 2024 strategic outcomes, underscoring the chamber’s role as a reliable gateway for Swiss investments, which helped position Switzerland as the third-largest European investor in the Philippines, with USD 7.38 million in direct investments. With 19 new members joining across various sectors, the SwissCham Philippines has further cemented itself as a valuable business network. Improved digital engagement and strengthened partnerships with sponsors like Zuellig Pharma, Roche, and Novartis have also boosted member connections and enhanced the chamber’s offerings.
Following this, SwissCham Philippines Director of Operations Kent Primor, shared key highlights during the 2024 Operations Report, emphasizing the chamber’s successful partnerships with key government bodies such as the Anti-Red Tape Authority, the Department of Health, and the National Economic and Development Authority. These collaborations have significantly strengthened SwissCham’s influence in shaping policies and advocating for the business community. The report also underscored the success of SwissCham’s Innovation Clusters, which have become vital platforms for industry-specific dialogue and knowledge exchange, further positioning the chamber as a hub for fostering collaboration, innovation, and the growth of its member companies.
The meeting marked the induction of 19 new members and the announcement of our newly elected Board of Directors, led by Ernie Mascenon. These exciting developments are a testament to SwissCham’s continued growth and commitment to advancing business and strengthening the Swiss-Philippine relationship.
